Today’s Tarot Message: The Hanged Man

Need quick (yet deep) insight into a particular Tarot card? Today’s Tarot Messages will give you a sense of the flavor and meaning of the card, plus a message that you can carry with you for your day. This is just a brief snapshot of the card, but it will give you valuable info and prompts for further study and contemplation. Something to add? Feel free to comment below!

Major Arcana: Number 12 (XII)

Correspondences: Neptune, water

Keywords: Surrender, in limbo, hanging around, suspended, a time to let go of expectation and to let things play out, cannot force the outcome, sacrifice, introspection, finding illumination from within, meditation, look at the matter from a new/different perspective, delay, timing isn’t quite right, a time of waiting.

Today’s Tarot Message: Feeling hung up? Blocked? Don’t waste your energy trying to bulldoze ahead, there are forces at work that you just can’t fight today. Wait and see, look at things from a different perspective, and use this delay to think about any adjustments that need to be made. Be serene, go with the flow. This introspective, inactive time will lead you to illumination and deeper wisdom.

Symbols in the card:

Tree: the World Tree that Norse God Odin hung from to reach enlightenment and gain the knowledge of the runes. The Tree of Life in Qabalah.

Halo: illumination from within, inner wisdom, reaching enlightenment, connection with the Divine

Crossed leg: not a time to walk/move forward, pausing to reflect at a crossroads

Red and blue clothing: Passion and calm wisdom

Yellow shoes: Clarity, openness, insight

Questions to ask yourself:

What area of my life needs some new perspective?

What am I willing to sacrifice in my life in order to move forward?

Do I feel frustrated or blocked in some area? Why? How can I change that?

Do I find it difficult to let go of control in my life? Why and how does that affect me?

Need some new perspective? Feeling hung up?  I have a great email Tarot reading that can help with that…
