So I should have known.
2021 is a Chariot year for me, and my birthday is in June, so the energy is intensifying now.
My partner is in a Wheel of Fortune year.
(Psst want to find out YOUR year card? Here’s how…)
The Chariot wants to move forward, to get things rolling, to achieve targets and goals.
The Wheel of Fortune brings change, opportunity, luck and the unknown.
So what did we do?
We bought a house, and we’re moving to the countryside. Well, to Niagara wine country at least!
I have always loved living in the city. I love Toronto. I love Kensington Market, the Beaches, Greektown, all the diverse neighborhoods. I love the energy of this place, and all its foibles as well.
But, as with many of us, this past year has taken its toll on me.
My mom and my sister and her partner live in the Niagara area, about an hour or an hour and a half from Toronto, which isn’t far at all, but during the pandemic it has felt like a million miles away. I miss them. The idea of being able to walk over to my sister’s place to have a cup of tea or a glass of Niagara wine is a dream come true. To have my mum a quick drive away, well, that lifts my heart.
And, my partner and I are ready for a change. We’re ready to refresh and start a new adventure. We will be close to trails, hikes in nature, to rabbits and eagles, to seasonal produce grown where we live. (And, if I’m honest, I’ve been dreaming about my new luxurious bathtub since the moment I laid eyes on it).
I’ve always had a knack for timing (knock wood). I can sense when the time is right to make a move, to get out of Dodge, to take a chance before it disappears. And, I’m feeling that urgency now. Things are moving quickly, and my Chariot side rejoices and revs the engine a little bit faster.
So, we are in chaos now, but we’re hanging on and riding that Wheel!
(I actually fell asleep at 2:00am with bubble wrap in my hands last night, packing up my precious Goddess statues and many, many crystals. And, I’ve seen how badly I’ve been dusting behind the furniture for the past 12 years, but it is ALL good.)
Of course, I’ll be continuing my Tarot practice as usual, teaching and reading and running my Tarot Circle online. I will also be coming into Toronto regularly for Tarot events, and to perform weddings.
And…what do you think of Tarot Retreats in Wine Country…comment and let me know if that appeals to you!
